Eddie James Lowery was wrongfully convicted of rape in Kansas in 1982. He was incarcerated for 10 years, paroled, and then was required to register as a sex offender for a further 11 years. Eddie was finally exonerated in 2003 through DNA testing—21 years after his wrongful conviction. Eddie is a songwriter and guitar player in The Exoneree Band.
