Legal tech evangelist and speaker Colin S. Levy is an attorney with more than a decade of experience in corporate transactional law. He is also director of legal at the contract management firm Malbek. Levy has parlayed this experience into his speaking and writing career, educating lawyers on leveraging technology through his books “Legal Tech Ecosystem” and the “Handbook of Legal Tech.”
Throughout his career, Levy has seen technology as a driver of legal services. He has spanned industries and witnessed myriad issues, from a systemic lack of interest in technology to the high cost of legal services barring entry to consumers. His mission is to bridge the gap between the tech world and the legal world.
Levy’s experience spans e-discovery, compliance, and corporate transactions. He got started in legal tech before law school, when he worked as a paralegal in a New York firm and created e-discovery databases. That prepared him for his legal career, where he worked in-house in a range of companies.
Has has been included in the Fastcase 50, was a speaker at TECHxpo2019, and has been featured in Above the Law and Bloomberg Law. He writes frequently on his blog, named by Feedspot as one of the Top 30 Legal Blogs.
Levy earned his bachelor’s degree at Trinity College and his JD at the Boston College Law School. He lives in Weston, Massachusetts with his husband, Jared.
