Megan Burns didn’t take the usual path into plaintiff personal injury work. She spent nearly a decade as a public defender in San Francisco and tried roughly 50 cases to verdict before she ever filed a personal injury complaint. Today, she is the managing partner of Mirador Law in the San Francisco Bay Area, where she and her law partner, Emily Dahm, battle insurance carriers and public entities on behalf of seriously injured clients. Mirador Law secured two of California’s top 50 plaintiff personal injury verdicts in 2024. Megan and Emily were also nominated for the San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association’s Trial Lawyer of the Year award in 2025. A Detroit-area native and former Division I soccer player at Boston College, Megan has dedicated her career to representing real people with real problems.
