Shirin Forootan

Shirin Forootan represents employers in all aspects of employment litigation and counseling. She has broad experience handling single plaintiff, class action, and administrative matters in state and federal courts and before government agencies. For nearly a decade, she has defended a wide range of employee claims, including wage and hour, trade secrets, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, leave violations, and wrongful termination. By being both strategic and efficient, Ms. Forootan has persuaded courts to grant judgment in favor of the employer, dismiss cases, and deny class certification. Ms. Forootan also negotiates favorable settlements for her clients.

In addition to her litigation practice, Ms. Forootan regularly advises employers on compliance strategies with labor and employment laws and performs wage and exemption audits. She also drafts employee handbooks, workplace policies, arbitration agreements, severance agreements, executive employment agreements, and confidentiality agreements.
