Cheri Bustos

Cheri Bustos is a recently retired Democratic member of House Leadership, having served the hard-working families in Illinois 17th Congressional District from January 2013 until her retirement in January 2023. As a working mom who raised three sons, advocating for women and families is a significant part of the former Congresswoman’s life and career. As a champion to end forced arbitration, former Congresswoman Bustos was proud to see her bills, the Ending Forced Arbitration of Sexual Assault and Sexual Harassment Act and the Speak Out Act, be signed into law in 2022.
