Miriam Kim

Miriam Kim is a partner at Munger, Tolles & Olson where her practice focuses on complex civil litigation, intellectual property, and high-stakes investigations. Named a Woman Leader in Tech Law and Top Trade Secrets Lawyer, Miriam has substantial experience in matters involving trade secrets misappropriation, false advertising, products liability, unfair competition, and technology disputes.

Miriam is a trusted adviser and thought leader on artificial intelligence (AI). She provides guidance to companies on a range of legal issues related to the development, distribution, and use of artificial intelligence (AI) platforms and applications. Miriam is a Fellow at Berkeley Law where her research has focused on the use of generative AI to increase access to justice through legal aid and the courts. She conducted the first field study of lawyers using generative AI to bridge the access to justice gap and, in recognition of this work, will receive OneJustice’s 2024 Champion of Justice award.

Within MTO, Miriam co-chairs the Generative AI Task Force and is a member of the Management Committee. Outside the firm, Miriam has held numerous leadership roles, including co-chair of the Northern District of California Lawyer Representatives, president of the Asian American Bar Association of the Greater Bay Area, and a board member of the Bar Association of San Francisco and the Justice & Diversity Center.
