For lawyers who are military spouses, the inevitable move from state to state can be a nightmare for licensing reasons. In this report from On The Road at ABA Annual Meeting 2018, host Laurence Colletti talks to Linda Klein, Michelle Suskauer, Nan DeRenzi, Karen Scanlan, and Katherine Lee Goyette about the jurisdiction issues faced by lawyer military spouses and the work that’s being done in both Florida and Georgia to provide temporary law licenses. They also discuss the Veterans Legal Service Initiative and the law service clinics that are partnering legal help along with medical help for veterans.
