Jonathan Amarilio: Hello everyone. This is Jon Amarilio, host of CBA’s @theBar. Believe it or not we are getting ready to close out our third season of the podcast and we’re proud to say that we recently surpassed 100,000 unique downloads of the show. It’s no small achievement and we want to take a moment to thank you, our listeners, for helping us reach it. Your support makes it possible for us to continue bringing on high-profile guests to keep you both informed and hopefully entertained. Thank you also to the Legal Talk Network and the Chicago Bar Association for their support and for giving us this platform. I also wanted to give you a quick preview of what we have in store for the coming months. We took a holiday break in November, but we’ll return at the end of December with an exciting season finale. An interview with one of the lead prosecutors of the famed, family secrets trial. The case that took down the Chicago Mafia. It’s one of the most significant organized crime cases in this country’s history and it will be a must listen for all our true crime and Mafia aficionados, then we’ll kick off season 4 with a surprise guest.
Her name is instantly recognizable, the world over and she’s been much in the news lately. She’s also been the subject of a previous @theBar episode for anyone who wants to venture a guess at her identity. Trust me when I say that you’ll want to tune in for this one. And finally we’re making a special request of you, dear listeners. We want to hear from you for an upcoming mailbag episode. Send an email to [email protected] or send us a DM on Instagram at CBA@thebar, all one word. Telling us what you think was the most interesting legal topic case or headline from 2021. It can be a one liner or a paragraph or a multi-page single-spaced rant made from letters, cut out from magazines. We don’t care. If it’s interesting, we’ll try to make it part of our mailbag episode and it may just land you on the air with me, your favorite or at least top 10 podcast host. That email address again is [email protected] and the Insta handle is at CBA@thebar. We hope to hear from you and we’ll see you soon @theBar.
