Thomas York

Tom York is a seasoned antitrust lawyer, focusing on antitrust litigation, merger review, and civil and criminal antitrust investigations. He has experience before the Antitrust Division of the U.S. Department of Justice, the Federal Trade Commission, state attorneys general, and international antitrust enforcers. Tom also regularly counsels on antitrust issues, such as competitor collaborations, distribution, licensing, pricing, and single-firm conduct.

Tom works across a range of industries, including aviation, consumer products, emerging technology, health care, pharmaceuticals, oil and gas, and sports. Representative clients include American Airlines, Chevron, Conagra Brands, General Electric, Procter & Gamble, and Texas Instruments.

Tom currently serves in leadership positions in the American Bar Association Section of Antitrust Law, the State Bar of Texas Antitrust & Business Litigation Section, and the Dallas Bar Association Antitrust & Trade Regulation Section. He previously served as co-chair of the Antitrust Law Committee of the ABA’s Young Lawyer Division. Tom has written extensively for these and other organizations, including as a contributing author to several ABA books and as a publishing author in Antitrust MagazineThe Antitrust Source, and others. He regularly presents on antitrust compliance, merger strategy, antitrust litigation, and similar topics.

Tom maintains an active pro bono practice. Recent examples include successfully challenging the constitutionality of two sentences of life without parole imposed on a minor and pursuing consumer protection litigation on behalf of active duty members of the military. He previously worked for four years in Jones Day’s Washington Office.
