Brenan Sharp, design director, joined the ABA Journal staff in 2010. He was previously the deputy design director and senior designer. He was also the art director for Maxim.com at Alpha Media Group and senior art director at Publishing Group of America in charge of design for American Profile, NBC, CMT, Relish and Spry Sunday supplement magazines. Prior to that, he was acting managing editor and art director for Music City News. He has a BA in fine art from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and was voted best local visual artist three times in the Nashville Scene, a sister publication of the Village Voice.
