Sean T. Desmond graduated from the Florida State University College of Law in 2000. From 2004 to 2009, Desmond entered private practice handling criminal defense, family law, and civil litigation. From 2009 to 2011, he returned to the State Attorney’s Office as the chief assistant state attorney for Wakulla County and subsequently served as chief of the Leon County Court Division. Desmond established the Law Office of Sean T. Desmond in September, 2011, handling criminal defense matters and family law cases. He is immediate past chair of The Florida Bar Standing Committee on Professionalism and also serves on the Florida Supreme Court Commission on Professionalism. In addition, Desmond serves on the Executive Council of The Florida Bar General Practice, Solo and Small Firm Section and is a member of The Florida Bar Leadership Academy Committee. Desmond also serves on the Florida Supreme Court Historical Society Board of Trustees. He is the immediate past president of the Young Lawyers Division for The Florida Bar.
