Sandra Guerra Thompson is the director of the Criminal Justice Institute at the University of Houston Law Center. Since joining the faculty in 1990, she has taught and written in the areas of criminal law, criminal procedure, wrongful convictions and evidence. In 2015, Sandra wrote a book entitled “Cops in Lab Coats: Curbing Wrongful Convictions with Independent Forensic Laboratories”(Carolina Academic Press 2015).
