Rodney Ring was a judge in the state of Oklahoma for 20 years, from 1990-2010. He is currently the chairperson of the Oklahoma Bar Association Access to Justice Committee and is also a visiting assistant clinical law professor at the University of Oklahoma.
Ring attended Cameron University from 1968-1974 and then spent ten years in the mental health department as a social worker. Seeing many people struggle with legal problems prompted him to go to law school, and he attended the University of Oklahoma College of Law from 1984-1987. After graduating, he went into practice with the goal of providing legal services to those who could not afford them. He has been deeply committed to access to justice issues through the entirety of his career.
