Robert L. Deitz is a professor of Public Policy at the Schar School of Policy and Government at George Mason University. Bob was senior councilor to the director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) from 2006 until February 2009. From September 1998 to September 2006 he was the general counsel at the National Security Agency (NSA) where he represented the NSA in all legal matters. He has also held positions as acting general counsel at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency and as acting deputy general counsel, Intelligence, at the Department of Defense.
