Rachel Morgenstern is a litigator who focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation, including partnership disputes, shareholder derivative actions, and contract disputes. She has experience handling cases before federal and state courts, including drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, attending court conferences and arguing motions.
Prior to joining Jaspan Schlesinger LLP, Rachel served as the assistant law clerk to Hon. Barbara Jaffe of the New York County Supreme Court. In that role, she drafted decisions and gained working knowledge of the manner and substance of judicial review. This experience informs her approach to legal writing and research.
Before completing law school, Rachel utilized her Boston University master’s degree in print journalism to launch a successful career in political advocacy. She was manager of communications for Lawyers for Civil Justice, one of the nation’s leading legal reform organizations.
