Before joining Planned Parenthood in 2019, Michelle Wetzel had a long career in legal aid, serving as an attorney for Prairie State Legal Services and the Legal Assistance Foundation and then becoming CEO of Bonaventure House, a living facility for people with HIV/AIDS and struggling with addiction and mental health issues. She then became General Counsel for Howard Brown Health where she worked for 7 years before becoming General Counsel for Planned Parenthood of Illinois.
