Mary Lancaster

As the AFRICOM Science Manager, Dr. Mary Lancaster manages CBEP cooperative biological research efforts with ten partner countries Africa. Develops and administers collaborative research projects which support country and regional strategies to enhance biosafety/biosecurity and biosurveillance capabilities in order to reduce the threat posed by pathogens of security concern and to address infectious disease priorities of both CBEP and its partner countries. Develops and influences Africa science portfolio strategy, develops collaborative relationships with domestic and international partner organizations and researchers, coordinates the submission of research project proposals with potential collaborators, and manages scope, schedule and budget for approved projects.
