Leo Figueroa is executive director of the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, or TBLS. He hails from San Antonio where he graduated with distinction from St. Mary’s University School of Law. While at St. Mary’s, Figueroa was an associate editor on the St. Mary’s Law Journal. He practiced law in San Antonio for 32 years before becoming executive director at TBLS in 2016. Figueroa is certified in civil trial law and personal injury trial law by TBLS, although his certifications are currently inactive since he is not practicing law at TBLS. He has been married to his wife, Terry, for 43 years and together they have three daughters and three grandsons.
