Laura Grabouski

A Partner at Tully Rinckey PLLC’s Austin office, Laura focuses her practice on insurance coverage and bad faith litigation. She handles first and third-party coverage disputes involving CGL, business auto, commercial and residential property, and ERISA policies. She advises clients on significant decisions by the Texas Supreme Court and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit involving any new legislation affecting the insurance industry. She also counsels clients on risk avoidance strategies and best practices. Prior to joining Tully Rinckey PLLC, Laura was a partner at Buchanan Grabouski, an Austin firm that focused its practice on insurance coverage counseling and litigation, as well as commercial and tort litigation. She also served as a briefing attorney for the Honorable Bea Ann Smith, Third Court of Appeals of Texas, from 2001 to 2002. Laura received the AV Preeminent Rating from Martindale-Hubbell in 2015, and she was named a Super Lawyers “Texas Rising Star” by Thomson Reuters from 2006 through 2010. She has authored numerous articles, and she has presented at the University of Texas CLE Insurance Law Institute and the Austin Bench Bar. Laura earned her juris doctorate with honors from the University of Texas Law School in 2001. She earned her bachelor’s degree with high honors from the University of Texas in 1998. She is licensed to practice in Texas and before all U.S. District Courts in the state, as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Laura is a member of the Texas State Bar’s Litigation & Insurance Law sections, the Austin Bar Association, and the Mother Attorneys Mentoring Association.  She has performed pro bono work for disaster victims, volunteered as a reading coach for elementary school students, and chaired the Austin Diocese Red Mass committee since 2016.
