Kathy Taylor launched her career as an oil and gas lawyer in 1981, and was also a bankruptcy lawyer and general counsel of a group of companies including Thrifty Car Rental, National Car Rental, and the Lobeck Taylor Foundation. She then entered the nonprofit world as Secretary of Commerce then Mayor and Chief of Education Strategy for the state of Oklahoma.
