Judge Audrey Moorehead currently presides over Dallas County Criminal Court #3, and is notably the first woman to be elected to that bench. She recently completed her term on the Board of Directors of the State Bar of Texas, of which she was the only African American female for the years 2015-2018. Before ascending to the bench, Judge Moorehead had her own law firm in Dallas, practicing in the areas of criminal defense; domestic relations; and wills, trusts, and probate for over 14 years. In addition to her JD, she also holds a Masters of Business Administration. Judge Moorehead has served in leadership positions across many bar sections, committees, and boards on the local, state, and national level.
