Jennifer M. Collins is the Judge James Noel Dean and Professor of Law at Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law. She is also the president-elect of Rhodes College, where she will begin her service on July 1. Collins received her B.A. cum laude from Yale University and her J.D. magna cum laude from Harvard Law School, where she served as a notes editor for the Harvard Law Review. Prior to joining SMU, she was a law professor and the vice provost at Wake Forest University. Collins had an extensive career in practice, including serving in the Office of Legal Counsel at the U.S. Department of Justice and as an assistant U.S. Attorney in Washington, D.C., specializing in homicide cases.
