Heidi Levine is a partner at Sidley Austin. She focuses her practice on product liability and mass torts, with an emphasis on pharmaceutical and medical device litigation, as well as due diligence risk assessments and internal investigations of anti-corruption, compliance and regulatory violations in the pharmaceutical and medical device industry. She also advises clients on the implementation and enhancement of anti-corruption and compliance programs, policies and training, provides general advice and counsel to clients in the life sciences industry on a variety of matters and represents clients in complex commercial litigation. Heidi most often acts as national coordinating counsel in the mass tort context, representing clients in coordinated state and federal actions, most often in multi-district litigation proceedings, as well as related litigation outside the U.S. As national counsel, she formulates and implements the pre-trial, trial and/or resolution strategy for the litigation and other aspects of the engagement. Heidi also has significant experience in alternative dispute resolution. She designs and implements innovative resolution programs for companies faced with complex litigation. She has handled hundreds of successful settlement negotiations and formal mediations, resulting in the resolution of tens of thousands of claims.
