Ernest P. Chiodo, M.D., J.D., M.P.H., M.S., C.I.H. is a physician, attorney, certified industrial hygienist, toxicologist and biomedical engineer. Dr. Chiodo is board certified in the medical specialties of internal medicine, occupational and environmental medicine, and public health and general preventive medicine. He is also a Certified Industrial Hygienist which is the engineering and public health professional most focused upon the quantification and control of occupational and environmental hazards including biomechanical and ergonomic hazards as well as various air toxins including carbon monoxide and mold.
He actively practices both medicine and law with specialization in the medical and legal aspects of occupational and environmental disease including exposures to toxins, chemicals, heat, noise, lightning, electricity, lasers, radiation, mold exposures. He also has special expertise concerning automobile accident and fall injuries due to his Master of Science from Wayne State University in Detroit which is one of the leading international centers for research concerning vehicular injuries. He also has special expertise in building related disease issues due to his Master of Science in Occupational and Environmental Health with Specialization in Industrial Toxicology from Wayne State University, board certification as a Certified Industrial Hygienist, and licensure as a residential builder in the State of Michigan. He has served as trial counsel in a number of cases involving toxic substances litigation including mass toxic tort cases. He has also been the lead expert witness in a number of high profile toxic tort cases including serving as the lead expert witness in a mass toxic tort case for Gerry Spence.
