Ed specialises in policy coverage advice and related disputes. He acts exclusively for insurers, both in the UK and internationally, with a particular emphasis on all classes of insurance affecting the Construction, Technology and Professional Services sectors. Ed’s practise has global reach and he has vast experience of litigation, arbitration and alternative dispute resolution in many jurisdictions, including the UK and Ireland, France, Spain, Gibraltar, Iceland, Canada, Australia, the UAE and the USA. He has also risen to prominence in the field of Cyber insurance and related Data Protection and Privacy liabilities: he led a major campaign and survey in conjunction with Insurance Day during the Autumn of 2015 which revealed the real extent of the insurance industry’s understanding of this hugely important area and its readiness to deal with pervasive cyber risks; he is also asked to write regularly on Cyber related issues for numerous publications, including national press such as the Times, as well as appearing on live television and radio as an expert for the BBC following the recent TalkTalk data breach in which 4 million customer records were stolen by hackers.
