In February 2006, Dennis Tomasik was accused of sexually assaulting a boy in Comstock Park, a community just north of Grand Rapids, Michigan. He spent 11 years in prison before Lansing defense attorneys decided to handle Tomasik’s appeal. With the help of 22 new witnesses and a rock-solid alibi, Dennis was acquitted and his case listed on the National Registry of Exonerations.
