Deborah Pearlstein is a professor of constitutional and international law and co-director of the Floersheimer Center for Constitutional Democracy at Cardozo School of Law. A leading national voice on law and counterterrorism, Professor Pearlstein has repeatedly testified before Congress on topics from military commissions to detainee treatment. Before embarking on a career in law, she clerked for Justice John Paul Stevens of the U.S. Supreme Court and served in the White House from 1993 to 1995 as a Senior Editor and Speechwriter for President Clinton.
