David Ong’olo is the chairman of the Competition Authority of Kenya. Mr. Ong’olo was Reappointed Chairman of the Competition Authority (2nd February 2016) for a period of 3 years. He has a long standing interest in competition policy and private sector development and has worked on these topics spanning institutional development, sectoral regulation and industrial policy analysis. He is particularly interested in bridging the worlds of rigorous industrial sector analysis and practical policy making and implementation. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Nairobi and a Master of Science degree in Industrial Economics from Lancaster University, U.K.
