David Coffey was named SVP, Chief Digital Officer of LegalShield in November, 2016 and a seed investor in Ride.com with TPG. Prior to that, he was the VP of Marketing and IT of vRide, a TPG Growth portfolio company, where he oversaw the development of revenue marketing and IT development.
David is an iPhone and Instagram dependent award winning new media pioneer with over 23 years experience in the media and marketing field and was the president of the Coffey Group, a marketing and media consulting practice. In that role, he served several clients including NBC Universal’s Biggest Loser, Meredith’s Hyper Factory/New Media Strategies, Engauge, Mr. Youth, StrikeForce Communications — along with several private equity and venture capital firms including TPG Growth Fund and NCT Ventures.
David has served in senior leadership roles at Ogilvy, Sapient and Omnicom Media Group. Prior to The Coffey Group, he was Senior Partner, Director for Neo@Ogilvy. David also served as Director of Omnicom Media Group’s PHDiQ and as Sapient’s Global Director of Media Services. His past clients include Allstate, Travelers Direct, Mercedes, Harrah’s, Career Education, CSI Direct, Chrysler, Charles Schwab, Edward-Jones, Janus Funds, Jockey, Bissell, HBO, Discovery Communications, Citi Bank, Virgin Charter, U.S. Post Office, Department of Homeland Security, Mitsubishi Motors, and several telecommunication companies.
David has served on the AAAA’s Advanced Television Committee, DoubleClick’s Client Advisory Board and the Audit Bureau of Circulation’s Interactive Committee. He was named Media Week’s 1998 All Star for New Media.
