Carl Morrison

Carl H. Morrison, PP-SC, AACP, is a certified paralegal with a specialty in civil litigation where he concentrates in the areas of general insurance defense, as well as complex litigation matters. He has presented numerous seminars, webinars and in-house training sessions over the past several years for the Institute for Paralegal Education, NALS…the association for legal professionals, the Oklahoma Bar Association, Tulsa Area Paralegal Association, Vicki Voisin – The Paralegal Mentor and Tulsa County Bar Association. Mr. Morrison is a published author, having written numerous articles concerning various paralegal topics and has appeared in such legal publications as @Law, Paralegal Today, Facts & Findings and Paralegal Management. He also authored the chapter on E-Discovery for the NALS Advanced Manual for Legal Professionals, 13th Edition textbook. In addition, he has twice appeared on The Paralegal Voice Podcast on the Legal Talk Network with Lynne DeVenney and Vicki Voisin, discussing relevant legal topics. He also has been interviewed and profiled in a popular paralegal e-zine, The Paralegal Mentor, by Vicki Voisin. His honors include receiving the NALS Continuing Legal Education Award in 2011 and 2015 for his outstanding professional development through legal education, NALS Award of Excellence Finalist in 2011, the Tulsa County Bar Association President’s Award in 2012 for his dedication to the paralegal section, the Tulsa Business & Legal News 2013 Power Attorney & Legal Professional award, the 2013 Tulsa County Bar Association’s Paralegal of the Year Award and the Tulsa Community College Adjunct Professor of the Year award for the Paralegal Studies program. He is not only an active member of NALS, but also NALA, NFPA, and the American Association for Paralegal Education. His passion is educating and mentoring future paralegals and is an adjunct professor at Tulsa Community College, teaching various courses in the paralegal program since 2012. He currently serves on the Paralegal Studies Advisory Board for the University of Tulsa and previously served on the Paralegal Studies Advisory Board for Community Care College. He earned his B.S. degree from Northeastern State University in pre-med, his A.S. degree from Tulsa Community College and his diploma in Court Reporting/Legal Assisting from Metropolitan College of Legal Studies. He received his American Alliance Certified Paralegal (AACP) certification through the American Alliance of Paralegals, Inc. in 2010, his Professional Paralegal (PP) certification through NALS…the association for legal professionals in 2011, his Professional Paralegal Specialty Certification in Litigation/Civil Law and in E-Discovery (PP-SC) through NALS in 2012 and 2015.
