Brian Norton Baird is a former United States Representative for Washington’s 3rd congressional district, serving from 1999 to 2011 as a member of the Democratic Party. After leaving the House of Representatives, he served as president of Antioch University’s Seattle campus until 2015. He is the former chairman of the Department of Psychology at Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington, and a licensed clinical psychologist. He has published a number of journal articles and has authored three books. He regularly teaches professional development courses to attorneys and judges on the topics of communications, ethics and the psychology of persuasion. Baird is a member of the ReFormers Caucus of Issue One.
