Ben Hockema, CFP, is a certified financial planner and founder of the financial services firm Illuminate Wealth Management. His firm focuses on helping small businesses, especially law firms, develop, understand, and follow plans created to deliver long-term profitability. He helps business owners put profit first, not last.
Hockema has been featured in publications including The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times. He is a lifelong learner and a thought leader who always endeavors to find new and better ways to serve clients and help those clients reshape their mindset to put profitability first.
When not running Illuminate, Hockema spends his time with his wife and three kids, cooking new recipes, and trying to get better at golf. He can usually be found exploring new podcasts or books and is always excited to share what he’s learning about.
Hockema earned his bachelor’s degree at the Purdue University Daniels School of Business and is a graduate of the Charles Schwab Executive Leadership Program.
