Arlan D. Lewis

Arlan D. Lewis is a partner at Blueprint Construction Counsel, LLP. Arlan’s practice focuses on the representation of owners, contractors, subcontractors, developers, and other construction industry participants on a variety of issues arising out of complex commercial construction projects in the private and public sectors. During more than 20 years of practice as a construction lawyer, Arlan has gained substantial experience in the negotiation and drafting of EPC, design-build, construction management, design, procurement, joint-venture, and other agreements related to the construction industry. He has been trained in the Harvard Program on Negotiation Method and clients value his ability to balance practical business objectives with legal issues to provide appropriate risk management solutions.

 

Arlan frequently speaks on legal issues in the construction industry and conducts training sessions specifically tailored to the needs of his clients. He has held numerous leadership positions within the ABA Forum on Construction Law, the world’s largest organization of construction lawyers, including serving on its 12-member Governing Committee.

 

Prior to joining Blueprint, Arlan was a partner in the construction practice group of Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP, an Am Law 200 firm based in Birmingham, where he began his legal career in 1996.
