Andrew Elowitt, JD, MBA, PCC, brings over 25 year’s experience as both an executive and business lawyer to New Actions. His understanding of diverse corporate cultures was first shaped by his experiences working as a lawyer along side the executives of global corporations such as Yamaha, Sumitomo Bank, and Toshiba. Representing these clients in their business matters gave him a first-hand feel for the complexities of organizational efforts and the challenges of operating in global markets and fast-paced environments. His diverse law firm experiences also give him a real-world understanding of the challenges and opportunities service professionals encounter as well as the unique demands placed on them when they manage and lead. His years as a general counsel and corporate director provided him with an insider’s appreciation for the importance of strategic planning, leadership development, and effective communication. Hands on experience has given him a working knowledge of how fundamental management skills – such as delegating, giving feedback, building consensus, mentoring others, developing conflict competence, and thinking strategically – all contribute to bottom line results. Continuing his career of service to and in business organizations, Andrew has worked since 1994 as a consultant, coach and facilitator with clients in a wide range of industries and professions. They include individuals, teams, and business units in high tech, biotech, automotive, pharmaceuticals, entertainment, manufacturing, distribution, natural resources, law, accounting, investment banking, financial services, and real estate development and management. He has also worked extensively with non-profits and government entities. His expertise in coaching, facilitation, and organizational development has been enhanced by related trainings in Coaching and Organizational Learning, (Newfield Certified Coach™) 2003; Essential Facilitation, Interaction Associates, 2002; and Organizational Learning in Action, the Action Design Institute, 1997. He is an International Coach Federation Professional Certified Coach (PCC).
