Alicia Mitchell-Mercer is the Director of Project Management at Lex Project Management Consulting Group in Charlotte, North Carolina. She served as a litigation paralegal for 20 years and as a legal project manager for another 10 and is certified by the South and North Carolina state bar associations. She mentors legal professionals on the application of project management methodologies and frameworks to improve delivery of legal services. She is a NALA ACP, NFPA RP, North Carolina State Bar NCCP, South Carolina Bar SCCP, a certified Legal Project Practitioner (LPP), and a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM). Mitchell-Mercer Chairs the North Carolina Bar Association’s Communications and Technology Committees and is on NALA’s Continuing Education Council. She is also a FINRA securities arbitrator and a court-appointed Guardian ad Litem. She earned her BS at Charter Oak State College and master’s degree in project management at Missouri State University. She is a lifelong learner and is working toward her doctoral degree in public administration.
