Marty McGee serves as the Senior Resident Superior Court Judge in Cabarrus County. He has also served as a Special Superior Court Judge. From October 2000 until January 2014, he served as a North Carolina District Court Judge in Cabarrus County. During his time on the District Court bench, Judge McGee presided over thousands of cases involving family law, criminal law, juvenile law, civil matters and infractions. Prior to becoming a judge, he participated in litigation pending before courts ranging from the Supreme Court of the United States to small claims court. He is licensed to practice law in North Carolina and admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States, the United States Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces, the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina.
