Christopher Johnson has been a valued member of the Bar Show cast since 2017. By day, he serves as the Associate Director of Legal Services at Lawyers for the Creative Arts, a nonprofit organization devoted to providing legal support to artists and arts organizations. By night, he brings his talents to the stage as a performer with numerous non-equity professional theatre companies in the Chicago area, including Kokandy Productions, Music Theatre Works, Metropolis Performing Arts Centre, and Blank Theatre Company.
Christopher takes particular pride in his post-pandemic performances in iconic Sondheim musicals. Notable roles include Judge Turpin in Kokandy Productions’ Jeff Award-winning Sweeney Todd, where he also understudied the titular Demon Barber; Franklin Shepard in Blank Theatre Company’s Merrily We Roll Along; and the Baker in Big Noise Theatre’s Into the Woods.
