Judge Christopher Plourd was appointed to preside over the Superior Court of Imperial County, by California Governor Jerry Brown. Prior to taking the bench, he was in private practice at the Law Office of Christopher J. Plourd, a staff attorney at Defenders Inc., and assistant public defender at the Imperial County Public Defender’s Office in El Centro. Early in his career, Judge Plourd served as law clerk to Justice Don Work from Fourth District Court of Appeals in San Diego.
