Lisa Kloppenberg

Lisa Kloppenberg, a distinguished Law Professor and Dean Emerita, also holds the role of Special Assistant to the Vice President for University Relations at Santa Clara University. Her extensive tenure at SCU includes serving as Acting President, Provost, Vice President for Academic Affairs, and Dean of the School of Law from 2013 to 2022. An acclaimed scholar in Conflict Resolution, she recently authored “The Best Beloved Thing is Justice,” published by Oxford University Press in 2022. Committed to the Jesuit mission of holistic education, Lisa champions accessibility, affordability, diversity, equity, and inclusion at SCU. She has deepened ties with Silicon Valley and expanded experiential learning opportunities for students during her tenure.
