Judge Martin Hoffman

Martin Hoffman is an esteemed judge serving on the Texas 68th District Court in Dallas County. With over 14 years on the bench and more than 28 years of legal and judicial experience, he has presided over numerous jury trials and hearings involving a wide range of civil matters.

Judge Hoffman is highly active within the legal community and is known for his innovative approach, mentorship, and dedication to education. He strongly emphasizes the importance of diversity and fresh perspectives in the legal field. Through his internship program, he has provided over 250 law students with valuable courtroom exposure and real-world experience, fostering a deeper understanding of our civil justice system. He actively seeks opportunities to support and benefit the community both inside and outside the courtroom.

Notably, Judge Hoffman developed a unique program called “Foreclosure Fairness” to address home equity foreclosures, empowering homeowners with a voice in the process and offering them a chance to retain their homes. He has volunteered for various organizations, including Habitat for Humanity, and has served as a mentor for the Skyline High School Mock Trial Team, further demonstrating his commitment to giving back. Judge Hoffman has championed diversity through initiatives such as advocating for sister bar status for the Dallas Women Lawyers Association and the Dallas LGBT Bar Association.

Throughout his career, Judge Hoffman has been the recipient of several other accolades, including the Texas Attorney Mediators Coalition Outstanding Trial Judge Award, the Texas Tech Alumni Association Outstanding Service Award, the Texas Young Lawyer Association Outstanding Mentor Award, and the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers Outstanding Mentor Award.
