Nan Joesten is the principle and founder of Rapid Evolution LLC which provides best practices in leadership training, professional development, and executive coaching that allow individuals and organizations to maximize results by strengthening their most valuable asset – intellectual capital.
Joesten is a nationally recognized speaker, management consultant, executive coach, facilitator, and trainer with more than 25 years of management and leadership experience in both the corporate world and professional services. She has galvanized organizations and individuals to develop and execute strategic plans to leverage their strengths to improve organizational effectiveness, job performance, career satisfaction, employee retention, trust, and loyalty.
From her start as a chemical engineer at Procter & Gamble, Joesten guided manufacturing teams to achieve key factor performance, and later, as a brand manager, led teams delivering new products to market. She left P&G to serve as director of marketing for a floral wire service before joining Habitat for Humanity to launch its Earthquake Recovery Program in response to the Northridge Earthquake in Los Angeles. After law school, she joined a San Francisco firm, working with everything from small businesses to Fortune 50 companies worldwide focusing on dispute avoidance and resolution.
Upon graduating from the University of California Berkeley Law School, Nan practiced law at the San Francisco firm of Farella Braun & Martel, where she became a trusted advisor to a wide-range of clients, from smaller family-owned businesses to Fortune 50 companies worldwide. Focusing on the most effective and efficient ways to avoid or resolve disputes.
In addition to client work, Joesten led the firm’s professional development, founded its women’s initiative, and was co-chair of the American Bar Association’s national committee of women trial lawyers.
In 2012 she founded Rapid Evolution.
Joesten earned her bachelor’s degree at the University of Colorado Boulder and her J.D. at the University of California Berkeley School of Law.
Joesten is a Certified Professional Coach and a graduate of the College of Executive Coaching, an accredited training program of the International Coaching Federation. When she’s not working, she volunteers for organizations dedicated to the public good and education, including the University of Colorado Foundation.
