With a background as a financial analyst and corporate strategist, John Broadbent brings deep transactional knowledge and experience in the business side of M&A to his corporate and government relations practice. His work has included tax policy, advising startups from formation to sale, drafting corporate contracts, performing buy-side and sell-side due diligence, and researching cannabis laws.
John was previously a law clerk and summer associate with the firm. While in law school, John served in the chambers of Colorado Supreme Court Justices Melissa Hart and Carlos A. Samour, Jr. He also worked as a student attorney with the University of Colorado Entrepreneurial Law Clinic. Before law school, he was an analyst in the corporate strategy and development group of a publicly traded technology company based in New Jersey, helping inform decision making on multimillion-dollar deals and providing insights on company financials.
