Rachel M. Allums, Esq., is a licensed attorney focused in Estate Planning, Probate and Trust Administration in Poway, California, a suburb of San Diego. Rachel is a solo attorney heading Allums Law, APC., which opened its doors in March of 2020 and has served nearly 500 clients in three short years.
Allums Law helps families, professionals, retirees, and seniors craft customized estate plans that provide control, support their goals, and prepare for life’s transitions. Rachel’s success is based on a five-star client experience. Her affordable flat-rate model pricing, along with the education-focused and empathetic approach to all clients is highly appreciated. Rachel focuses on building long-term relationships as a Primary Care Attorney to be the first call you make when legal challenges arise. This relationship allows us to assist in the evolution of the client’s estate planning needs from inception to end-of-life and post death estate administration. Rachel’s mission is to focus on the role of Counselor at Law. To listen and advise, working collaboratively with her clients to create truly customized planning and to educate clients on every component of their plan so they and their loved ones will be successful in implementing their wishes and preserving their legacy.
Prior to becoming an attorney, Rachel began her career as a Certified Paralegal, working in Estate Planning, with additional background in Family Law and Personal Injury. Rachel has three decades of experience in the legal field.
Rachel’s educational background is unique in that she “Learned the Law Like Lincoln” by participating in the California State Bar’s program allowing independent study with mentor attorneys, in lieu of attending a formal law school. This allowed Rachel to continue her full-time work, gaining valuable experience, in addition to her rigorous self-designed study schedule. Rachel completed the program in May of 2019 and passed the July 2019 California Bar Exam.
Outside of the office, Rachel is a wife and mother of two adult children. She is an avid community volunteer and served for six years on the Executive Board of the Poway High School PTSA and as the Senior Grad Night Chairman for four years. Rachel has previously been honored as a Volunteer of the Year by the Poway Unified School District.
Rachel is also a proud volunteer for the San Diego County Bar Association’s Wills for Heroes program and currently serves on the San Diego County Bar Association’s Programs and Education Committee as a member of the Leadership Speaker Series Committee and the Leadership Academy Curriculum Committee.
