John Lund, the immediate past president of the Utah Bar, is a shareholder in the Salt Lake City firm Parsons, Behle & Latimer, where he focuses on litigation and trial work throughout the West. In 2011, Lund obtained one of the largest jury verdicts ever awarded in Utah, over $54 million in lost profit damages for his client’s resort development rights. In 2014, he represented the landlord of the Park City ski terrain in successfully terminating the prior operator’s lease, which led to Vail Resort’s combination of Park City and Canyons into the largest single ski area in the country.
He is a Fellow of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers and chairs the Utah Supreme Court’s Advisory Committee on Evidence.
Lund earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado and his J.D. from the University of Utah.
