Timothy Blood is the managing partner at Blood Hurst & O’Reardon LLP. He has represented tens of millions of data breach victims in class action lawsuits, as well as consumers in a wide variety of consumer protection matters. He has fought for consumers in federal and state courts throughout the country and before the Federal Trade Commission, the California Department of Justice, the California Legislative Analyst’s Office, the U.S. Senate, the California legislature and the California Department of Insurance. Tim worked to pass the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018. He helped draft the provision of the Act that provides consumers with a private right of action for data breaches and testified before the California Senate and Assembly.
