Gene Major

Gene Major has served as a compliance officer with the State Bar of Texas since 1998, when he moved from Chicago. As the attorney compliance division director, he oversees the MCLE, LRIS, and CAAP Departments of the State Bar. As director of advertising review, Major works as the staff contact for the Advertising Review Committee and liaison with the Chief Disciplinary Counsel. Additionally, he is a staff liaison to the Client Security Fund Subcommittee of the State Bar Board of Directors and assists in the administration of the State Bar Board of Directors and president-elect elections.
