In this On The Road report from Global Legal Hackathon in New York City, host Laurence Colletti talks to Team Granite Apple about their product idea, City Alert – an app that alerts users to violent crimes happening in their vicinity and gives them suggestions for access to legal professionals. It is intended for people in high-crime areas or victims of crime who may not have access to or knowledge about their legal options. Their product uses machine learning, audio integration, and recordings to identify user distress and send alerts of violent crimes.
