As the State Bar of Michigan Director of Outreach, Darin Day helps ensure that Michigan’s 125 voluntary bar associations and 42 state bar sections continue to have an effective voice within the profession, and supports law-related public education programs throughout the state.
Before joining the SBM staff in April 2016, Darin served 10 years as general counsel of a privately held third-party logistics company just outside Philadelphia. Before that, he was a large firm litigator in Boston, executive director of a small community-based nonprofit in Flint, and a field instructor at the University of Michigan School of Social Work.
Born and raised in Lansing, Darin earned his B.A. at Michigan State University and his J.D. at the University of Chicago.
Judge Michelle Rick and attorney Kim Jones talk about Michigan’s rule changes for limited scope representation that aim to lessen the justice gap.
