Emilio Varanini is the vice president of the CLA. He previously served as vice-chair of the International Law Section and in a variety of roles within that Section. He was also appointed by the former Council of Sections to co-lead a group on governance issues, and serve as a representative on the transition planning group, as the Sections of the State Bar transitioned to the California Lawyers Association. He is also currently the co-chair of the National Association of Attorneys General’s Antitrust Task Force, a member of the American Bar Association’s Section of Antitrust Law International Task Force, and a deputy attorney general with the California Attorney General’s Office.
