Renee Dopplick is an international lawyer and the global policy director for ACM, an international nonprofit. She serves as Vice Chair of the American Bar Association (ABA) Special Committee on Section, Division, and Forum Coordination. She also serves on the Council of the ABA Section of International Law, as Co-Chair of the NGO and Not-for-Profit Organizations Committee, as Vice Chair of the UN and International Organizations Committee, as Vice Chair of the Transnational Legal Practice Committee, and as Liaison to the World Bank’s Global Forum on Law, Justice, and Development. She served as one of the representatives of the ABA during the negotiations on the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). During 2013-2015, she served on the ABA Presidential Task Force on Sustainable Development. She is a deputy editor of International Law News published by the ABA Section of International Law. She is a published author and contributor on rule of law, judicial training, post-conflict peacebuilding, international criminal law, human rights, and tech law and has served as a legal and technical reviewer of international shipping standards, oil and gas laws and regulations, and wildlife and marine conservation plans. She is a senior adviser on international energy and natural resources law and a member of the World Bank’s Sustainable Energy for All community of practice. She is a member of the American Society for International Law, the International Bar Association, and the United Nations Association.
